Meet The Team | Kristi Richard

Christina Mullins • December 6, 2023

Happy December! The “hustle and bustle” time of the holidays are all around us. One would even say that it is unavoidable. Despite the busyness, we would like to shine the spotlight on one more employee for 2023.

This month, our Meet the Team blog is about Kristi Richard. She serves as our Claims Manager at our Baton Rouge branch.

Originally, Kristi was born and raised in Rayne, Louisiana. In case you did not know, Rayne is the known as the “Frog Capital of the World.” The more you know! I suppose I could go into the reasoning behind this moniker, but we will save that story for another day!

Kristi obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University. Prior to joining the GRS family in December 2016, Kristi was a cardiac monitor technician at Lafayette General Hospital and Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.

Whenever she is not working, she and her wife (Lindsay) have 3 dogs: Maggie, Zeppelin, and Cane, and a cat: Leo. Their pets keep them pretty busy. It makes sense that they have 5 pets, because when Kristi was young she and her family always thought she would become a Veterinarian. She was always trying to keep stray animals.

Additionally, she and her wife enjoy spending time with family and friends. Kristi’s other hobbies include playing darts, Play Station and softball, cooking, and watching football and True Crime Series. Also, as it relates to sports, her favorite teams include the New Orleans Saints, Boston Red Sox and Louisiana State University Tigers.

While I was writing this article, I asked her what she likes about working for Guarantee Restoration Services. She said, “I like working at GRS because you have the freedom to be creative in this workplace. That is not always a freedom offered at other places of employment.”

One other question I always ask is if the spotlight individual has learned anything new recently. She responded, “Something I learned recently is that there is a type of vacuum made specifically to clean your home windows.” We all could probably use one of those!

Finally, she gave some advice to both our team members and leaders. She explained, “For employees, we work in an industry that can numb us to others' tragedies. Don't forget your humanity. For leaders, never stop driving and modeling consistency.”

GRS is always hiring. We have three Louisiana locations in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans. Our two locations in Mississippi are in Jackson and Gulfport.
