We are thrilled to kick off the new year by continuing our Meet the Team blog series! This initiative allows us to celebrate the incredible individuals who make our company successful. For January, we’re proud to feature Alexis Busby , one of our talented technicians from the Lafayette team. Meet Alexis Busby Alexis grew up in New Iberia, Louisiana, which is located just southeast of Lafayette. A 2016 graduate of Westgate High School, Alexis jumped straight into the workforce, bringing her dedication and enthusiasm to every role. Before joining GRS in July 2024, she honed her skills at Acadiana Bottling Company. Life Outside of Work When she’s not busy helping our customers, Alexis loves spending quality time with her family and friends. A self-proclaimed TV enthusiast, she enjoys catching up on her favorite shows during her downtime. Her hobbies include exploring new destinations, trying diverse cuisines, swimming, and even relaxing with some creative coloring. Alexis is also a passionate supporter of the University of Georgia Bulldogs football team , showcasing her love for the game and her team spirit.
The final month of the year has arrived, and our team at Guarantee Restoration Services (GRS) has been steadily preparing for 2025. We feel recharged, refocused, and ready to lead with purpose into the new year. Meet the Team December: Amber Harvey Each month, we take the time to highlight a different GRS team member. For December, we are excited to introduce Amber Harvey, who serves as a Mitigation / Contents Project Manager at our New Orleans location. Amber's Journey and Background Amber was born and raised in Avondale, Louisiana, a small town located on the west bank of the Mississippi River from New Orleans. After high school, Amber explored a variety of career paths, including roles as a: Graphic Designer Realtor Bartender Service Manager for Industrial Products Amber joined the GRS team in November 2018 , and this year marks her sixth anniversary with the company. Life Outside of Work In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is also an avid concert-goer and takes every opportunity to attend live music events, calling it her favorite pastime! Additionally, she is a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers . Words of Wisdom from Amber When asked about advice for employees and company leaders, Amber had valuable insights to share: For Employees: "Have a strong work ethic, never stop learning, and be empathetic to the clients during their losses." For Leaders: "Continue to be humble and share in the success of the company with your team." Why Amber Loves GRS When reflecting on her time at GRS, Amber shared what makes working here special: "I really love the family atmosphere. I have never worked for a company that was so involved with its employees and truly cared for everyone." A Notable Achievement: IICRC Triple Master Amber recently became the fourth GRS employee to attain her IICRC Triple Master certification. She explained: "I completed all necessary IICRC certifications and received my Triple Master. This has not only made me more efficient in the field, but it has also sparked my desire to continue learning other aspects of restoration as well. You can never run out of new things to learn!"
Can you believe Thanksgiving is just two weeks away? Time flies, and with the holiday season upon us, our team is busier than ever, working hard to carry this momentum through the end of the year. As part of our monthly tradition, we love highlighting a different member of the GRS team. For November, we’re excited to introduce you to James Freyder, our Logistics Manager! About James James Freyder was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, as one of three siblings. After graduating from St. Amant High School, James attended Louisiana State University, where he pursued his childhood dream of becoming a Disney animator by earning a degree in Graphic Design. Later, he returned to school at Medvance to obtain a second degree as an X-ray technician. Before joining GRS in July 2015, James worked at McDonald’s as a truck driver and warehouse manager. His journey with GRS began as a warehouse manager in Baton Rouge, and over the past nine and a half years, he has grown into an essential member of our team. James has played a key role in GRS’s expansion, spearheading significant office moves in Baton Rouge, Kenner, and Gulfport, and helping to establish our first offices in Jackson and Mobile. His expertise and dedication have been pivotal to our growth across multiple locations. Beyond Work James is married to his wife, Michelle, and together they have six children. When he’s not managing logistics for GRS, James enjoys spending time cooking, painting, watching sports, and joking around. A die-hard sports fan, he loves the New Orleans Saints and LSU. He also enjoys following LSU athletes as they transition into professional careers—a true Tiger fan at heart!
